Finding the right fit with a therapist is crucial for effective therapy. A strong relationship fosters trust, allowing clients to share openly. When comfortable, clients engage more deeply, leading to meaningful change in their lives.

About me!

Growing up I had always been interested in helping others, and now that I am able to do that for a living I have so much gratitude for those who allow me to walk with them through some of the toughest times in their lives.

From a young age, I moved around a lot due to having military parents. At the age of 10, I moved to NW Houston, and this is where I have resided since. After high school I attended the University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. During undergrad I worked in child care teaching and caring for 2 year olds. Afterwards I worked at prestigious Menninger Clinic as a mental health associate. It was at Menninger where I was able to work, first hand, with variety individuals with mental health struggles. This led to my pursuit of my Masters of Education in Counseling and my sparked my initial interested in Dialectical Behavior therapy.  While working on my masters degree, I was able to be a student therapist at the Houston DBT Center. With much gratitude, after graduation,  I was able to continue my training at the DBT Center where I led DBT skills groups and IOP groups as well as conducted individual therapy and intake assessments. I was also fortunate to gain experience training clinicians across the United States.

As the years passed I was able to grow as clinician and after 7 years I decided to leave my DBT nest and fly on my own and that is when Compassionate Healing Counseling Services came into fruition. Currently in my practice I have been able to work with multiple clients with various struggles through a variety of evidence based therapeutic interventions.

Outside of my profession, I am a proud mom to a wonderful little boy. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, adding plants to my collection and occasionally binge watching TV shows.

My Therapeutic Approach

Therapy is tailored to each individual, recognizing that a one-size-fits-all method is ineffective. By employing a person-centered approach, treatment is customized to meet the unique needs of each person. This approach integrates evidence-based techniques from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Radically Open DBT (RO-DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to provide effective and personalized care. I am direct and straightforward in my communication, ensuring clarity and honesty. At the same time, I balance this approach by being gentle and safe, creating a supportive and respectful environment for effective interaction
